Beavers climbed atop the standings in the West Demerara Football Association Senior Men’s League, dismantling Uprising by a 3-0 score yesterday at the Uitvlugt Community Centre ground.

Glenroy Semple recorded the only conversion of the first half, as he made his presence felt in the ninth minute. Upon the resumption, Semple would complete his brace to double his team’s lead as he etched his name on the score-sheet in the 50th minute.

The win was then sealed in the 77th minute via a Kareem Harris conversion. With the win, Beavers climb atop the standings with six points due to their superior goal differential. On the other hand, Uprising drops into the cellar position and remains pointless.

Meanwhile, Crane Rovers and No. #1 All-Stars played to a 1-1 stalemate. Okassie Stewart handed the No. #1 All-Stars unit the initial advantage as he scored in the 42nd minute. However, Donford Williams would earn a share of the spoils for Crane as he found the back of the net in the 57th minute.

Due to the outcome, Crane climbs onto four points and remains in third place, while the No. #1 All-Stars move onto four points but drop to the fourth position owing to their inferior goal differential.
