Melanie and Beterverwagting (BV)/Triumph played to a 1-1 draw when the East Coast Demerara Senior Men’s League continued last evening at the Buxton Community Centre ground.
Both conversions transpired in the first half of the cagey affair. Jermaine Gustav opened the scoring for Melanie, as he made his presence felt with a 15th-minute conversion. However, a share of the spoils was secured in the form of Trevor Hazel, who found the back of the net 16 minutes onwards.
With the result, the BV/Triumph move onto three points but remain in seventh place, while the Melanie unit climb onto two points and remain rooted to the eighth position.
