Omar Cliffe, a 24-year-old plumber from William Street, Kitty, and Cort Williams, a 23-year-old AC technician from ‘B’ Field Sophia, were arrested at about 23:30 hrs on Wednesday after they were found to be in possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.
The police said in a statement that the two were arrested by ranks from the Alberttown Police Station, who were on patrol in a force motor vehicle at the time. The ranks were on William Street, Kitty heading west when they observed two men on a motorcycle with registration #CN 8462 heading in the same direction.
On seeing the Police patrol, the statement said that the motorcycle stopped, and the two men dismounted and began to run, heading north into a passageway on William Street.
