North East La Penitence was crowned the champion of the inaugural Campbellville Cup Street-ball Championship, defeating Z-Tekk Family on Friday evening at the community centre tarmac.

The experienced unit prevailed by a 3-1 score in front of a sizable audience. With their victory, North East La Penitence walked away with $300,000 and the championship trophy. Meanwhile, Colwyn Moore of North East La Penitence was adjudged the event’s most valuable player and walked away with a motorcycle.

On the other hand, the loser pocketed $150,000 and the second-place accolade.

In the earlier their place encounter, Team Cruel defeated Street Vybz 3-1 to pocket $75,000 and the respective accolade. For their efforts, Street Vybz received $25,000 and the fourth-place award.
