Sitting in the Constitutional and Administrative Division of the High Court, Justice Fidela Corbin-Lincoln has ruled in favour of the Union of Agricultural and Allied Workers (UAAW) in relation to a contested trade union recognition for Guyana Rice Development Board (GRDB) workers.
The Guyana Agricultural and General Workers Union (GAWU) and the Trade Union Recognition and Certification Board were the respondents.
The court ruled that the Board was required to regard the views of the applicant, UAAW when assessing the application for union recognition at GRDB by GAWU.
