PNCR supports suspension by NA council of Trim-Bagot

Carol Trim-Bagot

The People’s National Congress Reform (PNCR) has come out in support of the recent decision by the New Amsterdam Mayor and Town Council to suspend one of its members citing the need for councillors to exhibit professional behaviour while performing their official duties, a PNCR release stated yesterday.

The PNCR also indicated its wish to correct what it termed the recent “misinformation” concerning the suspension of Councillor Carol Trim-Bagot by the Mayor and Town Council of New Amsterdam as it has observed certain members of the People’s Progressive Party/Civic (PPP/C) inaccurately suggesting that the decision to suspend Trim-Bagot was a unilateral act taken by the Mayor of New Amsterdam. In its rebuttal, the PNCR “firmly clarified” that this suspension was a collective decision made by the Town Council and ought not to be attributable to the Mayor.
