Darren Johnson, a 48-year-old minibus driver from Clonbrook, East Coast Demerara, was arrested on Thursday on the Cove and John public road by alert traffic ranks.
The police say that Johnson is suspected of being the person seen in a video on social media assaulting a man and relieving him of his motorcycle.
Public-spirited citizens shared information with police as to the suspect’s identity and his minibus, which aided in his arrest. At the time of his arrest, he was driving a minibus transporting passengers. He is in custody while the investigation continues.
