Nayak Alexander, a 20-year-old carpenter of Circuitville, Soesdyke-Linden Highway, was arrested and charged yesterday by ranks of the Timehri Police Station with five counts of burglary and one count of break and enter and larceny.
The accused, in the presence of the six victims, appeared at the Diamond/Golden Grove Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Wanda Fortune, where the charges were read to him. He pleaded guilty to all six charges, a release from the police said.
Alexander was sentenced to a total of seven years imprisonment. The release did not indicate if the sentences are to be served concurrently.
