Police say around 7:10 pm on Saturday, Suvesh Ramnarine (also known as “Cokes”) of 90A Southern Main Road, Warrenville, was at Rob’s Bar, located at the corner of Southern Main Road and Marshall Trace.

At least five suspects, all armed with firearms and dressed in what appeared to be police T-shirts, black tactical pants, and black boots, arrived in a black SUV resembling a Hyundai Tucson outfitted with blue flashing lights. The registration number was unknown.

The suspects approached Ramnarine, claimed to be police officers, and forced him into the black SUV. They drove off in a northerly direction along Southern Main Road. Two of the suspects entered the victim’s vehicle, a black Toyota Prado with registration number PCX 3087, and left in a southerly direction along the same road.

Guardian Media understands around 7:23 pm, Ramnarine’s mother received a phone call from her son.

He informed her that the men were demanding $3 million for his release.
