With the competitors pencilled to start arriving on local shores today, Guyana Body Building & Fitness Federation (GBBFF) President Keavon Bess stated that he is confident in delivering a successful Central American & Caribbean (CAC) championship.
This was disclosed by a press release from the GBBFF. Bess said, “All the pillars to make CAC a resounding success are in place, and it’s now time to focus on ensuring that the pillars work efficiently and cohesively.”
The competition, which will be staged from October 17th-20th at the National Cultural Centre on Mandela and Homestretch Avenues, is slated to feature in excess of 250 competitors from more than 20 nations.
He further affirmed, “The next few days will be used to fine tune, cross-check, review, and testing and we know that sleepless nights will become the norm, but it’s all for the success of the sport and for the display of Guyana’s ability to host different sports and events.”
Bess disclosed that the weigh-in process as well as the recording of measurements will occur on Friday.
