Speedboat defeated Ariel Knight Riders by 46 runs to win the open category when the Georgetown Softball Cricket League Inc.’s (GSCL) Prime Minister’s T20 Cup culminated yesterday at the Police Sports Club ground, Eve Leary.
Jai Hind overcame Regal Legends by five wickets in the Over-50 final, while Ariel Masters beat Fisherman by 15 runs to win the Over-40 category, and Supreme Stars of Linden won the female crown with a 26-run victory over No. 64 Knight Riders.
Played in front of a fair-sized crowd, Speedboat took first strike and posted a challenging 226-6. Safraz Esau struck 79, while Navin Singh made 35, Kishore Smith 32, and A Yusuf 30.
