– win required to prevent relegation

With anything other than a victory that will result in their relegation from League A in their maiden campaign, the Golden Jaguars will battle traditional foe Suriname this evening at 20:00hrs at the Dr. Ir. Franklin Essed Stadion, Paramaribo in the CONCACAF Nations League.

It will be the 28th competitive meeting of the nations and the second this season, after the Dutch-speaking outfit triumphed 3-1 in Guyana’s debut match at this level at the National Track and Field Centre in Leonora on September 5th.

History and form will once again be firmly in the corner of Suriname. The Surinamese, who sit third in the standings with four points, boast a record of 16 wins, six defeats, and six draws against the Golden Jaguars.
