Angelina Yhap won the Queenside Rapid Chess Championship, which was staged on Saturday at the School of the Nations campus in Kingston, Georgetown.
This was disclosed by a press statement from the Guyana Chess Federation. According to the correspondence, the Yhap tallied seven points to clinch the title for beginners and unrated players, as the event was open to females who are devoid of an ELO rating.
Rebha Lachman also ended on seven points but was relegated to second place, while Lusianna Farlot rounded out the top three with 6.5 points. Marcia Lee finished in fourth place with six points, while Clair Cole and Kaija Clement also ended on six points apiece to end in fifth and sixth, respectively.
