A 16-year-old girl of Region Two was stabbed several times about her body on Monday afternoon, by a man who was accused of raping her since she was 14 years old.
Stabroek News understands that the man attacked the girl on Monday afternoon on the public road, stabbing her several times in front of her sister.
Commander of Regional Police Division #2 Superintendent Ravindra Stanley told Stabroek News yesterday evening that the man was arrested and is in police custody while the teen was hospitalized.
Investigations are ongoing.
