‘Champion of Champions’ Futsal
California Square and Team Cruel recorded hard-fought wins when the inaugural edition of the Bent Street ‘Champion of Champions’ Futsal Championship commenced last night at the National Gymnasium on Mandela Avenue.
California Square bested the Linden All-Stars 3-2. In similar fashion, Team Cruel defeated North Ruimveldt 1-0. Also, Stabroek Ballers and Mocha played to a 1-1 stalemate. Up to press time, several other matches were underway.
The event, which will last for the duration of six dates, will feature 16 teams competing in an initial group stage format.
