Certified esthetician and entrepreneur Falisha Hakh yesterday hosted a seminar on skincare, wellness, and entrepreneurship, targeting skincare enthusiasts and budding business owners, which emphasized the importance of self-care in both personal and professional success.
The event was held at Body Haven Meds Spa, which is owned by Hakh and located at Plot C Vilvoorden, Essequibo Coast, Region Two.
Hakh stressed the significance of skincare in today’s fast-paced world, where self-care is often overlooked. She told those present that taking care of their skin required the proper usage of products. She shared information on products and their usage.
The seminar catered to a diverse audience, including those new to skincare, individuals refining their routines, and entrepreneurs looking to turn their passion into a business. Hakh said that the event was designed to inspire and educate all participants, regardless of their starting point on their skincare or business journey.
Throughout the seminar, participants explored the latest skincare techniques, learned about high-quality products, and received personalized advice tailored to their unique skin types. Hakh and other industry experts discussed the science behind achieving radiant skin, offering practical guidance on addressing both personal skincare needs and those of potential clients. She also explained in detail some of the products that can be used on the skin.
At the end of the seminar, Hakh reminded attendees that skincare was not just a routine but a lifestyle and a potential business opportunity. Participants walked away with valuable insights, new techniques, and the confidence to not only enhance their skincare routines but also take steps toward building or expanding their businesses in the wellness industry.
Region Two Chairperson Vilma De Silva said that she was happy to see how many women showed up. She congratulated Hakh on her business and said that it was a service that Essequibo needed. De Silva told those who attended that the Government of Guyana would continue to support small businesses. She urged women to support each other in order to effect changes.
Body Haven, a luxury Med Spa, was opened in January 2024 as a first of its kind in the region.
