As part of ongoing preparations for the construction of the New Amsterdam General Hospital, the Ministry of Health (MoH) on Monday held a concept design workshop with technical personnel to outline the layout and design of the hospital campus, according to a MoH release.
During the workshop, Minister of Health, Dr Frank Anthony, joined discussions that focussed on the design and infrastructure of the new hospital in Region Six (East Berbice-Corentyne).
The release informed that this cutting-edge facility will feature five operating theatres, including one dedicated solely to cardiac surgeries.
It will offer 24-hour accident and emergency services and will be equipped with advanced technology such as digital X-rays, CT scanners, and other modern medical equipment and amenities.
