Veteran broadcaster Franklin Langhorne has died after a period of illness, the National Communication Network (NCN) said last evening.

In a statement on its Facebook page, NCN said that Langhorne was hospitalised last month but was discharged and spent his final moments at home, surrounded by family.

“Frank had a profound love for radio and welcomed the opportunity to return to the airwaves following the challenges of COVID-19,” the statement said.

It added that up until August 2024, he hosted late-night shifts on the Voice of Guyana, where he presented beloved programmes such as “The Triple M Show (The Music, the Magic, and the Memories)” and “A Sunday Kind of Love”.

“In a heartfelt promo for his show, Frank invited listeners to join him in a musical journey, where each song would evoke cherished memories, allowing them to relive those moments for as long as the music played,” the statement said.

The Board of Directors, management, and staff of NCN Inc extended condolences to family, friends, colleagues, and countless radio fans who admired him.
