CAC Bodybuilding & Fitness Championship launched

The 51st edition of the Central America & Caribbean (CAC) Bodybuilding & Fitness Championship was officially launched yesterday at the National Cultural Centre on Mandela Avenue ahead of the event’s commencement tomorrow evening at the same venue.

Speaking at the press conference, Director of Sport of the National Sports Commission (NSC), Steve Ninvalle, who also represented the Ministry of Culture, Youth (MCY&S), said, “We are pleased to be associated with the championships”, disclosing that the government is the principal contributor to the event, which underlines their commitment to the development of athletes and their respective disciplines.

He noted that a structured approach was employed by the MCY&S and NSC in partnership with the Guyana Body Building & Fitness Federation (GBBFF) via daily meetings to ensure that all systems are in place for the smooth execution of this prestigious championship.
