Lenroy Michael Forde, also known as “Biggie,” was on Thursday found guilty by a jury of the 2021 murder of Odingo Anthony Heywood. The verdict came at the end of a four-day trial before Justice Sandil Kissoon at the Demerara High Court.
Prosecutors Alvaro Ramotar and Delon Fraser presented evidence that on April 21, 2021, Forde went to Heywood’s home at Drysdale Street, Charlestown, and there was an altercation between the two men. As it escalated, Forde pulled out a gun and shot Heywood, 25, 10 times in the back, leaving him dead at the scene.
