Link Show fans who may have missed seeing the KFC Link Show 37 back in July, are in luck as they will have the opportunity to attend a final performance later this month, a release from the production company has announced.
The upcoming show will be held on Saturday, October 26, at 8 pm at the National Cultural Centre in Georgetown. The producers, GEMS Theatre Productions and Primetime Productions, disclosed that they have teamed up with Punchline Productions, actors who have formed themselves in a group, to present the repeat Link Show 37.
Since its beginnings in November 1981, the Link Show has become an institution in stage performances in Guyana, and is the only satirical revue that is staged annually, now in its 37th year of production. A few years were missed.
The release disclosed that there will be some new skits added based on recent current events.
The release listed the cast of entertainers as Mark Luke Edwards, Michael Ignatius, Sean Thompson, Kwasi Ace Edmondson, Rovindra Persaud, Paul Budnah, Kevin Kellman, Stephen Mohammed, Gerard Gilkes, Sonia Yarde, Simone Dowding, O’neilka Bacchus, Tchaiko Rodney, Latiefa Agard, Makini
Thompson, Aliyah David, Abigail Brower, and young Kareem Jabbar.
The production is made possible with additional support from Ray Climax Bar, 94,1FM, and 104.1FM.
Tickets are $1,000, $2,000, and $3,000 and are available from the National Cultural Centre box office, the release added.
