Riddim Squad and Vengy recorded easy wins in the Georgetown Football Association Senior Men’s League on Saturday evening at the Guyana Football Federation’s (GFF) National Training Centre (NTC) in Providence.
Riddim Squad thrashed Beacons by a 3-0 score. Two goals in the space of a minute deflated the Beacons unit. Dorville Stewart found the back of the net in the 16th minute, while Germaine Harry slotted home one minute later. The score remained unchanged entering the halftime interval.
The win was then sealed in the 66th minute, as Deshawn Gillis slammed his effort into the back of the net. With the result, Riddim Squad climbs into fifth place on 11 points, while Beacons remains in fourth place on 13 points.
Vengy dispatched the Georgetown Football Club by the identical score. Angel Hines commenced the rout with a 15th-minute conversion. The lead was then doubled in the 29th minute, as Basante Jonmic etched his name on the score-sheet.
Johemis Mendoza completed the lopsided result as he made his presence felt in the 54th minute. Due to the outcome, Vengy move onto 14 points and climb into second place, while the loser remains in the cellar on zero points.
