A 28-year-old taxi driver was yesterday remanded to prison after he pleaded not guilty to attempted murder in the Charity Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Tamieka Clarke.
According to a statement from the police, Navindra Latchman called ‘Rocky’ of Queenstown, Essequibo Coast, was arrested last week Tuesday and charged yesterday with attempting to commit murder, contrary to Section 103 c of the Criminal Law (Offences) Act, chapter 8:01.
After pleading not guilty he was remanded to prison until November 7th.
