The Hamilton Green Birthday Anniversary Inter-Ward Football Championship will commence on November 3rd at the St. Stanislaus College ground on Carifesta Avenue.
This was confirmed by a press release from the coordinating committee. According to the correspondence, in excess of 20 teams will feature in the two event, which will utilise an elimination format. It will conclude on November 10th at the same venue.
In the opening match at 16:00hrs, Airy Hall will oppose Unstoppable while Laing Avenue battles Mahaica at 16:30hrs, and Road Warriors oppose Sophia at 17:00hrs.
The fourth match will pit Gold is Money against Timehri Panthers at 17:30hrs, with Dynamic tackling Soesdyke at 18:00hrs, and Timehri United engaging Agricola at 18:30hrs.
In the final two fixtures, Bent Street will take aim at Espanyol at 19:00hrs, and Back Circle will face-off against Stewartville at 19:30hrs.
The winner of game one will then lock horns with the victor of match three at 20:00hrs, while the winners of matches two and four will match skills at 20:30hrs. Meanwhile, the winners of matches five and seven will lock horns. This will be followed by the winners of games six and eight facing off.
The winner of the tournament will pocket $500,000 and the championship trophy, while the second, third, and fourth place finishers will receive $250,000, $150,000, and $100,000 apiece and the respective accolade.
