(Trinidad Express) Police are still searching for kidnapped businessman Suvesh Ramnarine.
Ramnarine, aka ‘Cooksie’, of Warrenville, Cunupia, was kidnapped on October 13 while liming at Rob’s Bar, along the Southern Main Road, Cunupia.
He was taken by several men dressed in tactical wear resembling police uniforms.
Some of the perpetrators’ kits had the word ‘police’ written in white on the back.
Searches have been conducted throughout the Cunupia and Chaguanas communities, police sources told the Express yesterday. However, up to 5 p.m., Ramnarine was still unaccounted for.
A ransom of $3 million was demanded for his safe release, but police sources would not say if this sum had been paid.
About midday on October 13, Ramnarine’s Toyota Prado SUV was recovered along Corra Road, off Chin Chin Road, Cunupia. It had been abandoned.
The vehicle was examined by crime scene investigators for workable fingerprints.
