‘Champion of Champions’ Futsal
With several teams facing the possibility of elimination, the final round of group stage fixtures in the inaugural Bent Street ‘Champion of Champions’ Futsal Championship will commence tonight at the National Gymnasium, Mandela Avenue.
Several teams will be hoping to seal their place in the elimination round. Sparta Boss, who is among the teams that require a victory to keep their hopes alive, will oppose Team Cruel at 19:00hrs. This will be followed by the Street Vybz and Bent Street B encounter at 19:30hrs, while Back Circle B lock horns with North Ruimveldt at 20:00hrs.
Stabroek Ballers will then face off against Z-Tekk Family in the fourth encounter at 20:30hrs, with the Linden All-Stars battling Laing Avenue at 21:00hrs, and Bent Street A matching skills with Mocha at 21:30hrs.
The final two fixtures will pit Gold is Money against California Square at 22:00hrs and Back Circle A against North East La Penitence at 22:30hrs.
The winner of the event will pocket $1,000,000 and the championship trophy, while the second, third, and fourth-place finishers will receive $500,000, $300,000, and $200,000 and the corresponding accolade, respectively. On the individual side, prizes will also be given to the highest goal scorer, most valuable player, best defender, and goalkeeper, respectively.
