Tabatinga was crowned the Lethem Mayor’s Cup Football Champion, defeating Moco-Moco in the final at the Culvert City Community Ground.
Tabatinga prevailed 5-3 in the fixture. Meanwhile, Gladiators defeated Snatchers 5-3 in the third-place playoff.
The other participating team was Borderline. The top three finishers were awarded with cash prizes and trophies.
According to a press release, Lethem Mayor John Macedo shared, “We witnessed a fantastic display of our local talent. As you know, Rupununi is a football region, and the players did not disappoint. Congratulations to the winners, and thank you to all the participants, the community, and the sponsors.”
