Road rage incident in which cyclist was injured `amicably settled’

The road rage incident in which national cyclist Christopher Hochan was injured on October 8th on Sheriff Street has been amicably settled and there will be no charges.

This is according to  police spokesman Stan Gouveia.

Hochan was injured after a car deliberately swerved into him following an exchange of words between him and the driver. The driver of PAE 9179 had made contact with Hochan multiple times before deliberately pushing him off the road during their confrontation.  Hochan managed to maintain some balance by unclipping from his pedal, preventing more serious injury.
