Dear Editor,
A 29-year-old single mother, Kimberly is reaching out for assistance to rebuild her life after a devastating fire five months ago left her and her five children homeless and struggling to make ends meet.
Her baby boy suffered from severe burns. The fire started at a bedroom in their house at Samaroo dam, Pouderoyen, West Bank Demerara. She stated by the time the fire reel arrived everything she owned had been lost.
Her son suffered severe burns on his hand, left foot, chest and belly leading to a three-week hospitalization. Now that her son is one year old she is also seeking surgery at a private hospital to remove contracted skin that binds his arms to his chest.
Before the fire Kimberly supported her family through small poultry farming. The fire was started by an electrical malfunction.
While rebuilding her home she ran out of funds. Kimberly stated she would be grateful to receive assistance as she’s depending only on family members now.
If anyone is able to assist her please call her on 672 1016.You could help make a difference for this family in need.
Yours sincerely,
Amanda Sawh
