I am not much of a beer drinker or a big drinker for that matter under any circumstances, but saying yes to Oktoberfest in Munich was an easy one. I was sure I would  find someone to happily consume my 2 litres of beer that came inclusive with my reservation if I had any problems. It was the fashion that consumed me and the whole process of just taking a deliberate break from regular “civilian clothes”.

Locally called the d’Wiesn, Oktoberfest started in 1810 and is now the largest beer festival in the world. Attracting up to seven million international tourists and locals together yearly, it was birthed after the Crown Prince of Bavaria wanted to open up his marriage celebrations to the public.
