Arakaka mother and son nabbed with over 280g of cannabis

In a drug-related operation early Friday morning, members of the Guyana Police Force apprehended two individuals and confiscated 285.9 grammes of cannabis at a residence in Arakaka, Region One.

According to a police press release, the operation commenced around 5:50 am when a team of officers executed a cordon and search exercise at the home and business premises of Donette Richards, 56, and her son, Michael Richards, 32, a taxi driver. According to the release, both individuals consented to the search when approached.
