Sophia man charged with robbery of Westminster supermarket

Fitzroy Easton, 43, of Lot 755 “D” Field, Sophia, was charged on October 28 with armed robbery.

The charge relates to a robbery on September 26 at around 20:12 hrs at the lower flat of the Panda supermarket at Westminster, West Bank Demerara, where Easton allegedly stole a Vivo 1+2 cellular phone valued at $190,000, another Vivo phone valued at $120,000, and $600,000 in cash from Zhou Jia Bin, a 46-year-old Chinese businessman.
