RDC Republic Cup Football
Potarinau Sky Kings and Snipers recorded wins in the women’s division, while Paiwomak advanced in the men’s segment following contrasting victories when the Regional Democratic Council (RDC) Republic Cup Knockout Football Championship continued at the St. Ignatius ground.
Sky Kings overcame Gladiators by a 1-0 score. Leandra Simon netted the only conversion of the contest. Similarly, Snipers overcame Flash FC 2-1. Eslyn Alfred-Duncan and Carla Simon found the back of the net for the eventual winner. On target in the loss was Anielen Laurindo.
Meanwhile, Paiwomak dismantled Snipers 5-1. Orlando Francis led the rout with a hat-trick. He was supported by respective conversions from Von Harding and Johnathan Sandy. For the loser, John Gabriel found the back of the net.
