Suspects in Yarrowkabra fatal shooting still at large

Two months after Aubrey Richardson was shot in the back and killed during a robbery on August 24, the police are yet to apprehend the two main suspects.

They have been identified as 23-year-old Samuel Browne of Yarrowkabra, Soesdyke-Linden Highway, and 20-year-old Antwan Sampson, whose last known addresses were Kaneville Grove, East Bank Deme-rara, and also Yarrowkabra, Soesdyke-Linden Highway.

Richardson, a 61-year-old resident of Kuru Kururu, succumbed to his injuries on September 5, two weeks after being shot during the robbery at a popular shop in Yarrowkabra. His daughter, Phylicia Andrews, had previously voiced her frustration on social media about the delay in justice, expressing concern that the case might go cold.

Andrews told Stabroek News on Friday that after the wanted bulletins were issued, the family was not updated any further. She stated that she was dissatisfied about the perpetrators being free while the family continues to mourn as they demand justice.
