Three in custody over murder of Linden food stall owner

Three persons are currently in custody as investigations continue into the murder of Nigel Somersall, a 56-year-old food stall owner from West Watooka and Wismar Housing Scheme in Linden.

Calwyn Croal, also known as “Brother Croal,” a 55-year-old contractor from Blue-berry Hill, turned himself in at the Wismar Police Station around 5:54 pm on Monday, accompanied by his lawyer.  Meanwhile, Jamal Fullington, a 22-year-old construction worker and miner from Victory Valley, and Shaquan Miller, a 19-year-old pork-knocker from Blueberry Hill were arrested and taken into custody at approximately 12:45 pm for questioning related to Somersall’s death.

Somersall was discovered by a cousin lying motionless beside his motorcycle around 5:00 am. Preliminary reports indicate that at approximately 3:54 am, a motorcycle was heard approaching Somersall’s residence at West Watooka Hill Top, followed by several gunshots and what sounded like the motorcycle falling to the ground.

Police were notified of the incident around 5:30 am.

In 2022,  Croal of Lot 178 Blueberry Hill, Wismar Linden was accused of shooting Somersall after a misunderstanding between the two, and was charged with attempted murder.
