CWI Regional Super50

The Guyana Harpy Eagles’ CWI Regional Super50 campaign finally took flight thanks to solid fifties from skipper Tevin Imlach and opener Matthew Nandu, which led Guyana to an eight-wicket victory over the Leeward Islands Hurricanes at the Brian Lara Cricket last night.

The victory means that the Guyanese have now broken their ‘duck’, winning a game on its fourth attempt.

After winning the toss and choosing to bowl, the Guyanese bowlers, led by veteran Veerasammy Permaul, turned in a commendable shift, restricting the Hurricanes to 139 all out in 34.2 overs.
