The Berbice Caimans remained winless in the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) National T20 League as they went down to the Essequibo Anacondas by two wickets yesterday at the Everest Cricket Club ground on Camp Street and Carifesta Avenue.

Batting first, the Berbicians could only muster a paltry 98 in their allotted 20 overs. Jonte Thomas top scored with 26 runs, while Sachin Balgobin laboured to 25 from 52 deliveries as the team struggled against the disciplined Anacondas bowling attack.

However, the Anacondas reply mirrored the struggles of the Caimans, as they lost seven wickets. The experienced Adams led the chase with a patient 30 from 37 deliveries, with Orrin Gibson supporting with a vital innings of 29 runs from 32 balls. The victory was eventually sealed following a boundary from Ramnarine Chatura in the 17.4 over as he chipped in with seven runs.
