In a high-scoring encounter yesterday at the Guyana Cricket Board’s (GCB) La Bonne Intention Facility, East Coast Demerara, the Essequibo Jaguars chased down 184 runs with three wickets to spare, with tailender Kevon Jawahir hitting a four off the final ball of the innings to seal the deal.

In search of 185 to win, the Jaguars ended on 188/8 as opener Jomal La Fleur spanked a top score of 46 from 31 balls (4sx5, 6sx2) to set the tone for the run chase. The middle order of Zeynul Ramsammy, Rajiv Ivan, and skipper Ricardo Adams ensured that the Jaguars stayed in the hunt with some valuable contributions and resulting partnerships.
