The Dharm Shala is appealing to the general public to support its annual Christmas luncheon, which is not only for its residents but also seniors from the surrounding areas, by making financial donations.

In the appeal, the benevolent home, which has locations in Albouystown and Fort Canje, also indicated that the traditional Christmas children’s party also needs support.  The luncheon and party are held at both locations.

The administrators of the home reminded they don’t only have daily residents, other people also seek accommodation free of charge to keep hospital appointments. The home’s utility and maintenance bills are met from donations and a small subsidy from the government while the administrators work voluntarily.

Anyone wishing to contribute can do so in the name of Kella and Pamela Ransaroop at 140 King Edward Street, Albouystown. They can be contacted on 226-1817. Donations can also be made to the Chief Executive Officer of National Hardware Edward Boyer. The store is located on Water Street. Receipts will be given for all donations made.
