Longstanding Guyanese race-car driver Kristian Jeffrey made a triumphant return to action yesterday at the ENet Caribbean Clash of Champions, winning two Group 4 (4WD) races in the sweltering heat at the South Dakota Circuit.
He held off stern challenges from the likes of Andrew King, Denzel Hopkinson, and Vishok Persaud. However, Persaud closed off the day with a win, further extending his lead in the Group 4 Drivers championship.
Meanwhile, British rider Daniel Linfoot captured the first Superstock-A race of the day to crown his feat of lowering the track record to 1:15.534s during qualifying on Saturday.
He won ahead of Matthew Vieira and Kevin Persaud in the first race of the day and had the fastest lap of 1:17.148s. He returned later in the day to make it a double win, with Vieira and Persaud finishing second and third yet again.
On the other hand, Heeranand Boodram won the Superstock B event, while Adrian Mohar won the Street Class category.
