Every once in a while, one of Guyana’s most famous and reputable journalist would accuse the Stabroek News of being anti-PPP. He usually alleges that the Stabroek News does not like the government, and uses its editorial pages to unfairly criticize it. He is very passionate in his convictions and repeatedly tries to convince his readers/followers of his conclusions.
On Sunday, an equally passionate supporter of the opposition, based in the diaspora, took to his Facebook page to slander and demonize Stabroek News. Among other things, he accused Stabroek News of generally being in cahoots with the PPP and being biased against him and elements in the opposition. So, it appears that Stabroek News is an equal opportunity offender. This is usually the most conclusive evidence of a fearless newspaper, obsessed with telling the truth, with the chips falling where they may.
