Canadian companies in talks with Ministry of Housing

Export Development Canada (EDC), the Canadian Commercial Corporation (CCC), and a group of Canadian businesses are currently visiting Guyana and a meeting was convened yesterday at the Ministry of Housing and Water.

Minister of Housing and Water, Collin Croal, led a technical meeting with a team headed by the Canadian High Commissioner to Guyana, Sébastien Sigouin.

Joining yesterday’s roundtable discussion were Chief Executive Officer of the Central Housing and Planning Authority (CHPA)  Sherwyn Greaves, Chief Development Planner Germene Stewart, and Deputy Director of Projects Intakab Indarjeet.

A release from the Housing Ministry said that the meeting focused significantly on the agency’s ongoing infrastructure development and the construction techniques being employed. Additionally, the delegation was updated on progress in the water sector.

The delegation, facilitated by the High Commission of Canada to Guyana, has been meeting with various government agencies and stakeholders to explore partnerships that align with Guyana’s vision for sustainable growth and infrastructure development.
