A difficult pregnancy, deaths of loved ones and challenges from childhood abandonment were some of the hurdles that four recent graduates of the University of Guyana, Berbice Campus, had to overcome.

“Among the students graduating are individuals whose journeys were marked by immense personal challenges and unimaginable losses. Each one has overcome adversity, demonstrating the power of resilience, love, and determination to achieve their dreams,” the university said in a statement recently of the grandaunts who received their certificates yesterday during the graduation exercise.
