Dolphin Secondary secured their fifth consecutive win in as many matches to hand Waramuri of Region #1 their first loss, prevailing 1-0 last night in the Republic Bank U-18 Schools Football League at the Ministry of Education ground, Carifesta Avenue.

Collin Frank David was the difference on the night in the battle of the unbeaten sides, as he found the back of the net in the 20th minute.

Chase Academy maintained their perfect record without breaking a sweat as they defeated Bartica via walkover after the latter failed to take the playing area at the stipulated time. Chase Academy was awarded with a 2-0 win.

Meanwhile, East Ruimveldt secured their first win of the event with a 3-2 victory over the winless President’s College. Gavin Towler tallied a double in the 30th and 65th minutes, while Josiah Norton netted in the 55th. For the loser, Omarie Grandson scored in the 42nd minute.

Also, South Ruimveldt and West Ruimveldt played to a 1-1 draw. Jeremiah Griffith netted for West Ruimveldt in the third minute, while Devonte Gaime levelled proceedings in the 10th minute.

The winners of the league will bag $300,000 towards a school project along with a trophy and medals, while the runners-up will receive $200,000, a trophy, and medals as well. Third-place finishers will be compensated for their effort with $150,000 along with a trophy and medals. Additionally, there will be individual incentives with accolades for the highest goal scorer and best goalkeeper, while the most disciplined team will also be rewarded for their behaviour.
