No. #1 All-Stars overcame a one-goal deficit to defeat Belle West 2-1 when the West Demerara Football Association Senior Men’s League continued at the Uitvlugt Community Centre ground.
Alex Downer handed Belle West the initial advantage as he found the back of the net in the 34th minute. The lead proved to be short-lived, as the All-Stars responded in the form of Orlando Lowe, who etched his name on the score-sheet one minute later to restore parity to proceedings.
The score remained unchanged entering the halftime interval. However, upon the resumption of play, the All-Stars unit secured what proved to be the go-ahead winner, as Lowe made his presence felt once more to complete his brace via a 49th-minute strike into the far corner.
