Chester Thompson, a 67-year-old miner from Kaikan Village, appeared yesterday at the Kamarang Magistrate’s Court to answer to the charge of ‘sexual activity with a child under 16 years. A police press release said that he was not required to plead to the indictable charge and was placed on $200,000 cash bail.
The matter was adjourned to 2024-12-17 for the filing of statements. The incident occurred on 6th March 2024.
