The residents of Sisters Village, located on the West Bank of Demerara, are continuing to express  frustration at ongoing road construction between Duncan Street and Saw Pit Turn that saw the undermining of part of the thoroughfare on Saturday after excavation works..

Despite a visit from Public Works Minister Juan Edghill on Monday, concerns persist about the quality and impact of the work being undertaken.

Residents remain dissatisfied despite the assurances. A visit by Stabroek News on Tuesday to the area revealed vehicles traversing the unfinished road, stirring up dust and exacerbating residents’ grievances.
