Black Water man gets life in prison for killing stepson

Nigel Abrams, a 32-year-old man from Black Water, North West District, Region One, has been sentenced to life in prison for the killing of his 17-year-old stepson, Daniel Wilson.

The  incident occurred on April 17, 2022. Abrams will be eligible for parole after serving 20 years.

The sentence was delivered by Justice Sandil Kissoon at the High Court in Deme-rara last week. Initially charged with murder, Abrams pleaded guilty to the lesser offence of manslaughter. During the hearing, he was represented by attorney Joshua Benn while attorney Delon Fraser prosecuted the case.
