Guyana will once again not feature in the CONCACAF Beach Championship, which is slated for March 11th-16th, 2025, at the Malcolm Park Beach Soccer Facility in Nassau, Bahamas.

This was confirmed by a press release from CONCACAF. According to the correspondence from the regional confederation, the Guyanese were missing from the eight team list that will feature in the official draw on November 26th.

Guyana participated in the 2017 and 2019 tournaments, finishing 12th in their maiden campaign and failing to progress from the group round two years later.

Barring the host nation, the other seven competing teams are the United States, Mexico, El Salvador, Panama, Costa Rica, Guatemala, and Trinidad and Tobago.

Pot 1 of the draw comprises the United States and Mexico, while El Salvador and Panama make up Pot 2. The hosts and Costa Rica feature in Pot 3, while Guatemala and Trinidad and Tobago make up Pot 4. The seeding system was based on the February 26th, 2024 CONCACAF Beach Football rankings.

The event will utilise an initial group stage format featuring two groups of four. Upon the conclusion of the group round, the top two finishers from each pool will advance to the semifinal round.

The winner and runner-up will secure berths to the 2025 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup in Seychelles.
