Courts Guyana’s Black Friday Sale drew crowds yesterday from all corners of the country to the event which kicked off on Thursday midnight.
The shopping event saw a packed store, excited customers, and countless carts overflowing with everything from sleek electronics like the popular 65-inch television to elegant furniture sets.
Stabroek News visited the Main Street branch of Courts to get a firsthand view of the shopping excitement, and caught up with the Senior Brand Manager, Chrystel Vansluytman, who shared some insights and the buzz around the TCL 65-inch television.
“The TCL 65-inch television was definitely one of our top attractions this Black Friday. We knew it would be popular, but the response exceeded our expectations. Seeing customers so thrilled was truly rewarding. We are thrilled with the turnout for this year’s Black Friday Sale. Seeing so many customers leave happy with amazing deals confirms the hard work we put into this event. It’s not just about sales; it’s about creating an exceptional shopping experience for our customers,” adding, “The one thing we’re mostly pleased about is the crowd control, despite the large turnout our customers were well mannered.”
A night of bargains and buzz
Customers lined up from as early as 5 p.m. on Thursday, eager to get their hands on discounted items and by the time the doors opened, the entire store building from the ground floor to the top floor was charged with excitement. David Singh, a customer from Berbice, was in Georgetown for a few days and decided to snag a new refrigerator and a television, “I had to travel to town on other business but didn’t want to miss out. It was hectic but worth it. The deals were too good to miss, and the staff handled the crowd really well.”
And Sophia Daniels, a Georgetown customer, explained that the night was all about planning ahead. “I got a lovely dining set at half the price. Now my Christmas table will look better than ever, and I even got me a new 65” TV!” she shared with a smile.
What’s next for the holiday season
Courts is already looking ahead to the Christmas season. According to Vansluytman, customers can expect even more festive deals in the coming weeks. “Our holiday promotions will include flexible payment plans, giveaways, and special discounts. We want to ensure every family can bring home something special this Christmas.”
And for those who want to take advantage of any upcoming events or promotions, Courts advises that customers keep an eye out upcoming flyers and announcements, visit the Courts website or social media pages for sneak peeks at holiday offers, and take advantage of financing options to make larger purchases more manageable.
